Linux runs very well on computers that Windows won't support.
Most systems sold in the past 10 years will do fine.

We recommend system minimum:

1. Intel i3, AMD Ryzen, or better.
2. 8 GB of RAM (4 GB of RAM required)
3. 100 GB of SSD storage. (Hard drives work fine but are slow)

How It Works

1. Sign up for a free account with your Gmail, Facebook, or Yahoo account.
2. Claim a free domain for your system, like "tacos.zenpapa.top".
3. Download GWinToLin & run it. It will ensure you have everything you need, and then it will "just do it" once you're ready. GWinToLin checks for:
- a. Your system drive. Since most people are upgrading from Windows, if it doesn't find a Windows partition, it will warn you.
- b. An external drive big enough for the backup. GWinToLin makes an exact bit-for-bit backup of your Windows system before the Linux upgrade, so if anything "goes South", you can completely restore your system to its present state.
- c. Your computer plugged into the router with an ethernet cable. (GWinToLin uses Enterprise Netboot technology which doesn't work over wifi)
- d. A thumb drive to boot. GWinToLin will flash the drive for you, and even back it up first so you can restore it later.
4. Starter Kit Available. If needed, GWinToLin will link you to the right Starter Kit to make this as safe and easy as possible.
